We hope your summer has been a fun and engaging one! Now with Autumn’s leaves rolling in, and more football parties and apple pies, things are getting busier in a different way. We want to help you get a kick-start on these fun fall activities with an AMAZING recipe certain to have your guests impressed! Everyone has a soft spot for sweet n’ spicy… (if they don’t, they soon will. … And you could always keep an extra bottle around for just such occasions – Hey, ever heard of dinner in a bottle? Yeah.. we went there.) SO, if you are a fan of the sticky crunch (that doesn’t leave your fingertips for days,) and otherworldly flair of blackberries mixed with chili and paprika spices… check these images out and keep reading!

Evening Backyard Parties
There is nothing more satisfying than a backyard party at your own home—complete with friends, good food and amazing ambiance! These kinds of get-togethers are extra special because not only do you get to choose the theme, you get to choose the hour, late evening or midnight perhaps? Food type, maybe you’ll assign dishes to friends, AND you get to have the first pick of the music! If your down one backyard or yours “isn’t quite ready to debut,” not to worry, sometimes TWO can be better than one! Offer to be your friend or family’s expert coordinator…just don’t tell ’em where you’ve stashed ALL the wine!
Consider these party themes…
- Make your own music and go for the instruments
- Get out the camping gear and the smores
- Blend up some fruit slushies..add a wine twist
- Add some culture and go Bohemian style
- Put up a sheet and do a movie night
- Grab the board games and cards
- Add some elegant lighting and break out the china
- Make it a glow in the dark party with games
- Have a book party or do storytelling
- Have a surprise party for someone special
- Have everyone bring a different pie
- Do something “lagoon themed” near the pool

July 16th from 6-9pm – Enjoy a hearty game of baseball with the family. Grants Pass Nuggets are playing, and they want YOU there to cheer them on!
Saturday Artisan and Crafters Market
Every Saturday (through October) from 9am-1pm – Set your sights on some amazing local arts and crafts. It’s always fun to go looking for treasure with friends. Take a stroll in the beautiful weather and fresh air as you discover interesting and inspiring works of art!
Pie and Ice Cream Social~Schmidt House
July 26 from 4-7pm – Experience a bit of nostalgia as the Josephine County Historical Society presents a ‘back to the 50’s’ fundraiser event with pie and ice cream!
RVF Fun Fly
August 2nd and 3rd – Get your hats and throw some sunblock on, because you’re going to get a chance to show off your flying skills! Bring the team, and make a day of it.
AND when it’s time for a bit of relaxation, stop by our tasting room and pick out your favorite! Nothing goes better than a fine wine on a fine summer’s day or evening.
